Abstract. The search for the optimal treatment scheme for the patients with unresectable stage III non-small-cell lung cancer had always been a challenging problem. Now the concurrent chemoradiotherapy with the use of platinum-based regimens and traditional fractionation of radiation dose is the standard treatment. Ongoing and future trials are exploring the use of novel radiotherapy delivery methods and targeted systemic therapy in an effort to provide patient-specific treatment and reduce toxicity.
Key words: non-small-cell lung cancer, chemoradiotherapy, dose fractionation regimen.
