GASTROINTESTINAL STROMAL TUMORS OF THE STOMACH IN CHILDREN

Abstract. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors — specific KIT- or PDFGRA-signal tumor, rare in children and adolescents and not fully understood. GIST of stomach are slow grow tumors with primarily of epithelioid or mixed morphology, often develops in the antral or have multifocal spread. Pathogenesis GIST in children may differ from adults, because no KIT-, nor PDFGRA-mutations were found. In this article the clinical observation of patients 14 years with GIST of stomach, which had multifocal lesion, metastasis to the lymph nodes of large and small omentum, mixed type structure with 16 mitoses in 50 fields of vision, as well as IP Ki 67=35%, CD 117 + + +, CD 34 + + +, DOG1 + +. Without mutations in 11 genes with exon-kit and PDGFRA gene exon 18. Patient was operated on gastrectomy. Observation time is 9 months — without signs of disease. Conclusion: It is necessary to create a single register of rare tumors for their study.
