Abstract. The program of study includes 178 patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer after  the removal of the primary tumor colon cancer with the progression process in the form of single (2-3) and multiple (4 or more) bilobar liver metastases who are treated at Samara Oncology Center in the period from 2001 to 2011. Patients of the main group, subject to the achievement of stabilization in cancer process via chemotherapy, were performed percutaneous RFTA metastatic lesions, followed by chemotherapy. The control group received only chemotherapy. Conducting RFTA for combined treatment of single and multiple liver metastases of colorectal cancer significantly improved recurrence-free and overall survival. It was also revealed that the recurrence-free and overall survival of patients with single metastases in both study groups was significantly better than with the multiple ones.
Key words: radiofrequency termoablation, colorectal cancer, bilobar liver metastases.
